WATCH: Here's What it Looks Like Out There

While Route 25 in Smithtown was cleared Saturday, businesses along the stretch continue to dig out from the deep snow.

Conisidering many residents in Smithtown are likely stuck at home, waiting for the plows, we decided to take a quick drive to show you what it looks like in the heart of town, where huge snow piles were only getting bigger alongside Route 25.

If you have any other photos or videos of snow-laden Smithtown, please add them to the post.

8:18 Monday morning and a small plow just made it's first past off of Mills Pond. 48 hours after the snow stopped. Clearly the town wasn't paying overtime for the weekend.

This video is very misleading since you're on Route 25 (State Road). The driver should have turned on Lake Ave. and you would have saw something totally different.

Sub out the back roads to private plows, it would save the town tons of money on o/t. You put it out to bid, I grew up in huntington and that's how I remember it.

Bring back the Jim Dowling days. After the blizzrd of 1978, the roads were cleared (well) by the day after the snow stopped. They plowed through the night when it was snowing and kept up with it. Back in those days, Smithtown was known for the great job they did plowing the roads. I guess Smithtown will be well known again, but this time it will be about how bad our roads are.
