A no-nonsense, yet compassionate and highly entertaining workshop that teaches you how to:

  • Refocus grief by learning to pay attention to funny and ironic incidents.
  • Stop "playing the widow card."
  • Get relief from bereavement groups without getting bogged down and depressed.
  • Notice and appreciate progress. You're further along than you think!

Former attendees of "Grief Relief with Humor & Grace" have raved:

-"The most entertaining and helpful presentation on the subject I've ever attended."

- "Come back anytime, Carol. You are an inspiration."

- "My jaws are still hurting from laughing. Who would have thought a workshop about widowhood would feel so good?"

Cost:  only $10 cash + min. $10 food order.  There will be separate checks.

About our group: We are a non-denominational group of friendly, sociable widows and widowers who are mostly under the age of 60.  All ages are welcome, and new faces are always showing up.

The Empress Diner is just east of Newbridge Road Rte. 106, west of the Wantagh Pkwy; for directions: 516-796-0859
