"The Last Fix" Screening

Created by Justice Production, "The Last Fix: An Addict's Passage from Hell to Hope" will be screened at the League of Women Voters meeting at Smithtown Public Library on Sept. 30, 7 p.m.  The documentary covers the lives of convicted drug offenders who have chosen to committ to a pioneering drug treatment program on the East End of Long Island, rather spend time than jail time.  Addicts talk freely about their drug habits and how that led them into other crimes including robbery, prostitution and more.
