Oct. 29: Volleyball, Undead and Teen Night

Friday's activities keep teens active and bring a new scary to Halloween.

Friday night kicks off the start of Halloween weekend with seasonal activities mingle with those designed to scare, spook and cause laughter this weekend.

1. Hauppauge girls varsity volleyball travels to Huntington at 4 p.m. With a 0-10 record, Huntington should prove to be an easy win for the Eagles who stand 5-5 this season. When the two teams met exactly a month ago, Hauppauge won 3 -0.

2. If you haven't already, this weekend is the last chance to catch Qualia: Origins of the Undead by Candelabra Theatre, 6 p.m. Actors will take the audience back in time to Victorian Era to learn the origin of zombies. Arrive early at the Mill Pond House in St. James to guarentee seats, tickets cost $15.

3. For teens looking to get out and start the weekend, the Town of Islip will hold Teen Night at 7 p.m. There will be structured activities ranging from Wii to karoake, board games, refreshments and more at the Joyce Fitzpatrick Center.
