7-Eleven Handing Out Free Slurpees

The franchise celebrates its 84th anniversary by giving customers its signature drink, the Slurpee.

Beat the summer heat with a free Slurpee at Hauppauge's 7-Eleven this Monday. 

The 7-Eleven franchise is celebrating the 84th anniversary of the chain by giving away free Slurpees. 

Customers are invited to receive a free, 7.11-ounce Slurpee at any 7-Eleven location, while supplies last, according to a release from the convenience store chain.

“7-Eleven Day and giving away free Slurpee beverages is our way of thanking customers for their patronage throughout the year and showing appreciation for their support,” said Jesus Delgado-Jenkins, a 7-Eleven vice president, in a release.

The chain gave out more than 5 million Slurpee drinks last year and hope to give out at least the same number this year, according to the release.
