Airlines Cancel Flights At MacArthur

Southwest, USAirways react to coming storm; both expect to resume normal flight operations Thursday morning.

Long Island MacArthur Airport’s two commercial airlines are cancelling flights Wednesday ahead of the approaching winter storm.

According to information on the airport’sFacebook page, Southwest Airlines has cancelled all flights after 5 p.m. Wednesday. The airline expects to resume operations at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Passengers can check Southwest.com or call the airline at 1-800-435-9792 for the latest flight information.

USAirways Express has also cancelled all flights after 5:20 p.m. Wednesday and expects to resume operations Thursday morning. USAirways Express customers can check USAirways.com or call the airline at 1-800-428-4322 for the latest flight information.
