Ara International to Participate in LI Restaurant Week

New restaurant on Route 347 will offer prix fixed, three-course meals from Nov. 6 to Nov. 13.

Ara International Bar and Grille on Route 347 in St. James announced it will be participating in the sixth annual Long Island Restaurant week.

will be one of various Suffolk County restaurant offering a prix-fixed, three-course menu from Nov. 6 to Nov. 13. On Saturday nights, the special menu will only be available until 7 p.m.

The prix-fixed menu features appetizers, such as baked portabello mushrooms with crabmeat, to entrees ranging from cavatelli bolognese to stuffed pork chops with spinach in a cognac mushroom sauce. Dessert options include tiramisu, chocolate mousse and strawberry Napoleon.

Ara International, on the corner of Route 347 and Jericho Turnpike, opened in August under Mike Schumm and executive chef Dino Vlacich. The three-story restaurant offers a variety of international dishes to create a diverse diner-like menu.
