A new family owned bait shop has popped up at the Kings Park Bluff and the owners are hoping to hook some customers.

On the Hook Bait Company, located in the parking lot of the bluff by the restrooms, opened about five weeks ago and word about the conveniently located shop is starting to get around. Owner Diane Sadenwater said the idea for the shop came out of necessity.

The children's clothing store left Commack's Peppertree Commons Shopping Center June 29, and found a new home locally. The children's clothing store took over the space formerly occupied by RiteAid.

Indie Opens in Commack
Indie, a sister boutique to Emily Sky geared for teens and young women, celebrated its grand opening Thursday at the Peppertree Commons in Commack.
Like it’s namesake, Indie, is all about empowering teens and young women to be themselves. The store’s slogan touts, “Be you, be true, be Indie,” emphasizing the belief in expressing one’s individuality and not just following the crowd. In addition to clothes, Indie also sells shoes and accessories. To meet the needs of their younger clientele, the store also has a price cap. Every item in the shop is less than $100.
