GlobeComm launches Globecomm Maritime

Hauppauge-based satellite communication provider announced Monday that they launched a new maritime communication solution named Globecomm Maritime.

Globecomm Maritime aims to be a comprehensive suite of communication solutions for maritime market sectors including commercial, fishing, leisure and government. It pulls together four different Globecomm companies: Telaurus, Mach6, Evosat, and Carrier2Carrier under one brand to bring their expertise to the table with existing engineering technology.

"The maritime communications market is as diverse as any other, requiring many different solutions to meet the needs of seafarers at sea, whether they be operating a fishing vessel in extreme weather and sea conditions of Alaska, or a Crude Oil Tanker carrying its cargo across the world’s oceans, or even the leisure sailor who needs to conduct his business while sailing on his own private yacht," said Malcolm McMaster, vice president of Globecomm Maritime and Telaurus president, in a statement. "Globecomm Maritime is able to look at each specific customers actual (and planned) communication needs, and recommend a solution that is the best for that customer."
