CA Announces New Chief Financial Officer
Islandia-based technology firm promotes Richard Beckert.
Computer Associates announced Wednesday it was promoting Richard Beckert to become its new executive vice president and chief financial officer.
The Islandia-based technology firm said Beckert replaces Nancy Cooper, who recently announced her retirement. Beckert has served as the company's corporate controller for the last three years.
Beckert joined CA in 2006 as senior vice president responsible for strategic pricing and offerings. He has 25 years of experience in high-tech corporate finance, having previously held senior management positions with IBM.

Following the announcement, CA shares went up 4 cents to $23, ultimately coming in up 14 cents per share at the close of the market on Wednesday.
