CA Technologies Holds Earth Day Cleanup

The Islandia-based company's employees helped cleanup Robert Moses State Park in celebration of Earth Day.

The employees of Islandia-based CA Technologies rolled up their sleeves and got dirty to celebrate Earth Day.

CA Technologies brought 65 of its employees to Robert Moses State Park last week to celebrate Earth Day by planting dune grasses and helping build fences to prevent further erosion. Volunteers spent five hours of their workday helping rebuild the beachfront's protection before summer arrives.

“We are proud to participate in Earth Day and applaud our employees for volunteering to help many worthwhile projects and organizations,” said Bill Hughes, chief communications officer, CA Technologies, in a statement. “As environmental concerns continue to evolve, we recognize the importance in supporting programs in communities where we have a presence. It’s remarkable how even a single volunteer can make a positive change by addressing a critical environmental concern.”
