Chase Bank Gets Approval to Build on Route 347

Smithtown Town Board approves application for a Chase bank on the southwest corner of Terry Road and Nesconset Highway/Route 237.

The southwest corner of Route 347 and Terry Road intersection has been vacant for several years. For as long as many residents can remember, there's been two paved driveways, one off Route 347 and one off Terry Road, but both have been blocked off by simple rusting chains. 

JPMorgan Chase plans to build a 4,120-square-foot bank that will have a both a drive-through teller and a drive-through ATM lanes. The plans will keep the natural buffer of trees to the west side of the property, but other trees and plants will be taken out as part of the building and landscaping process.

Chase bank has several nearby locations in Hauppauge and Smithtown, including 1.1 miles east at 615 Smithtown Bypass.
