CIRCOR To Make Helicopter Components, TSR Stock Split Takes Effect And CA Wins Award

CIRCOR Aerospace selected by Boeing to make Apache helicopter components

CIRCOR Aerospace's Aerodyne Control business unit in Hauppauge was chosen by The Boeing company to work together on a future contract.

Boeing selected CIRCOR to receive a Block III Divert Vavle content to produce the transmission systems  for AH-64D Apache Longbow Helicopter program. The program is expected to produce 690 Apache Block III helicopters between 2011 and 2026.

The CIRCOR subdivision currently produces the complete landing gear solutions for Boeing's CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

TSR's 1-for-2 reverse stock split takes effect

Hauppauge-based computer programming consulting services provider TSR said its 1-for-2 reverses split of the company's common stock took effect at 5 p.m. on Monday.

The reverses stock split converts two shares of each common stock held by a shareholder into 1 share. This decreased the company 25 million common shares worth $0.01 each, to 12.5 million shares still a worth 1 cent each. However, TSR's issued and outstanding common stocks were reduced from 4,038,188 to 2,019,094 shares.

TSR's board of directors and stocker holder had previous approved the action, which was announced on Nov. 10.

CA Technologies named 2010 Editors' Best Award Winner

Computer Associates was announced as the gold medal winner of the "2010 Editors' Best Awards" in high availability/disaster recovery by Penton's Media Windows IT Pro magazine last week.

CA's ARCserve High Availability was selected to receive the award. The program is designed to help maximize system, application and data uptime and availability to meet demanding service level agreements and disaster recover strategies.

"Business continuity is a critical challenge for companies operating in today's highly competitive markets, where no one can afford to alienate customers or lose precious revenue," said Steve Fairbanks, vice president of product management for CA's Data Management, in a press statement.

Within its magazine, Penton's Media writers remarked the program was "top-tier when it comes to minimizing the kinds of system downtime and data loss that can bring your business to a halt."
