Family Tree Yoga & Wellness Unrolls Its Mats in Nesconset

New yoga studio opens in Nesconset shopping plaza on Smithtown Boulevard.

A new yoga studio is heating things up in Nesconset.

Family Tree Yoga & Wellness celebrated its grand opening in the Nesconset shopping plaza on Smithtown Boulevard this Saturday. After months of construction, the yoga studio has taken over part of the space formerly rented by the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Special Library District.

Family Tree is a new business to the area, but yoga students might find be surprised to see some familiar faces. Smithtown Hot Yoga closed its doors at 70 E. Main Street in March and announced it would be moving across town to Hauppauge, then Nesconset. It started construction, but never opened.

Family Tree & Wellness was born out of new business partnership and took over the space. It has a list of previously Smithtown Hot Yoga students and has offered to honor all its remaining membership.

The yoga studio features two yoga rooms, one heated and one regular, to offer a variety of different classes from beginner yoga to hot Vinyasa and Bikram. It also has programs planned for childrens, pre-teens, teenagers and children with special needs.
