Former FedEx Wrapped in Graffiti [Empty in Hauppauge]

Prominent building off the intersection of Route 111/Wheeler Road and Expressway Service Road South lie vacant.

The former FedEx office building on Route 111/Wheeler Road with its high white walls is acting like a magnet, attracting vandals and their grafitti.

At 330 Wheeler Road, the former 9,000-square-foot FedEx Office office building is abandeoned, prominently displayed on a wedge of land where Route 111/Wheeler Road forks off into Joshua's Path a few hundred feet from the Expressway Service Road South.

Local vandals seem to have taken interest in the building with its white walls and prominent location, as spraypainted graffiti sprawls along its exterior walls in black and dark green. Difficult to read, the graffiti appears to be the artists' personal tags than any particular slogan or saying.

There's also obvious signs of wear and tear on the building. In both the front and back of the building, there are places where the ceiling tiles are falling down, left lying discarded on the lawn or pavement below.

Island Associates Real Estate advertises the building sits on 0.81 acres of land and has more than 100,000 residents within a three-mile radius, with the average income of $65,960.
