Hauppauge Businessman Joins Board of Long Island Advancement of Small Business

Ed Scheine, president of The Business Corner, to represent Hauppauge on Board of Directors.

Ed Scheine, a Hauppauge attorney and president of The Business Corners, has been appointed to the board of directors for Long Island Advancement of Small Businesses.

“It is an absolute privilege to be asked to be part of the board at LIASB,” Scheine said in a statement. “LIASB is, in my opinion, the premier education and support organization for small business in Long Island. I look forward to working with John Hill and the rest of the board.”

Long Island Advancement of Small Business is a business organization based in East Northport that offers training and insurance to small businesses and their employees, and serves as a forum for communication between small businesses.

“Ed Scheine is a businessman first and an attorney second,” said John Hill, president and CEO of LIASB, in a statement. “He is very good with providing ideas and suggestions based on his years in the business world, and we need someone like that to advise our small-business owners.”

Scheine recently opened a coworking facility providing a collaborative workspace for creative business professional on the edge of Hauppauge's Industrial Park.
