Help Wanted: Who's Hiring in Hauppauge

Hauppauge is home to the second largest industrial park in the nation, with corporate complexes lining Veterans Memorial Highway and 'mom and pop' shops that are essential to daily life. With so many local businesses, there's always an employer looking to hire, a job opening that needs to be filled.

Cablevision, Time Warner, Inc. (HBO), and A.C. Moore are among the employers hiring this week. 

Cablevision

• Position: Field SVC

• Description:  A Field SVC will provide services, installation and support for Cablevision customers. The will receive hands on training to perform customer reconnection/disconnections of cable service. It will also involve learning how to change/remove service. The position requires an individual to assure and maintain customer satisfaction. 

• Requirements: Applicants must have a high school diploma, a valid drivers license, and ability to work at various locations in various weather conditions. An ideal applicant must be available for flexible working hours and possess both good written and verbal skills. 
  
  

Time Warner, Inc. (HBO)

• Position: Broadcast Maintenance Supervisor/Technician 

• Description: The technician will be responsible for providing hardware and software maintenance of system for both on-air and background systems. They will be responsible for all aspects of testing the equipment. 

• Requirements: Candidates should have five years of broadcast engineering experience, an understanding of reading wire diagrams, comfortable working abnormal shifts and average physical strength.  

A.C. Moore

• Position: Supervisor 

• Description: An entry-level management position is available with manager-on-duty. The applicant would have key carrying responsibilities. Flexibility is key in this position and is a must. Supervisors may work in multiple areas of the store during each shift so they must be flexible. 

• Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent required. The company claims to offer competitive pay and benefits package. The ideal candidates would be comfortable managing a store and working with various crafts. Also, hiring for future openings.
