LoPiccolo's Pizzeria & Ristorante Plans to Expand

Hauppauge pizzeria will close for four days next week as it expands to take over former Quiznos storefront.

A family-owned Hauppauge pizzeria is under construction as it expand to take over a neighboring storefront.

Construction workers were hard at work outside LoPiccolo's Pizzeria & Ristorante Thursday afternoon sanding a new wood storefront and putting up trim in preparation for the restaurant's expansion.

A construction foreman confirmed that LoPiccolo's will be expanding to take over the former Quiznos storefront in the Pine Groves Shopping Center on Route 347/Nesconset Highway in Hauppauge.

Pizzeria employees, who declined to be identified, said the expansion will give the restaurant more tables and a brand new party room to cater to private events.

Construction workers reported that the pizzeria will need to temporarily close, likely from Monday to Thursday of next week, so the wall between it's existing space and the adjacent one can be safely knocked down.
