Bringing you the best dishes from Hauppauge restaurants and eateries.

on Motor Parkway offers a combination of hot sandwiches, panini, pitas and pizza in one storefront. A sign in the front window promises to show why it's different as an independent chain, so Patch was interested in seeing what makes it special.

The store has a small eat-in area, with three to four table along one side and a high bar along the front glass wall.  Both were filled with a number of diners during a recent lunch hour rush.

Tender, seasoned chicken breast is layered with pesto, tomatoes and roasted red peppers in a stack inside the grilled pita. The chicken is well-cooked, a grilled outside while remaining tender and moist.

Red peppers and tomatoes are fresh and surprisingly flavorful for the middle of the winter. Careful arrangement allows a taste in each bite without ever becoming vegetable heavy. It's covered with a warm layer of mozzarella, but not melted.

The pita sandwich is large. Don't let your stomach deceive you, there will probably be leftovers.

Eat This Because: Stand at the counter of Parkway Rotisserie and watch the ingredients cooked in front of you. The chefs throw chicken on the grill to cook fresh with the order. The proof of quality is in the taste.

Sides: Order a side of Greek salad, rice or French Fries ($2 by specials, fries $2.75 ordered as a side) to add to the meal. Fries are fried fresh behind the counter offering a crisp, almost flaky outside while remaining tender.
