A popular Hauppauge nightclub has closed for one week to undergo intensive renovations.
Silk Ultra Lounge in the Meat Farms shopping center on Route 347/Nesconset Highway closed on Feb. 23 to undergo renovations and get a new look. This is one of many changes the nighttime hot spot has undergone in recent years.

Newsday reports that the Hauppauge nightclube location has undergone several name changes since it was originally known as Wall Street over a decade ago. Previous names have included Viper Bar, Bianco Ultralounge, and more.
Blogger Ian Stark gives his own eye-witness report that the basic theme of the club has remained the same with DJs spinning for a multi-aged crowd with dress codes and themed weekends.
