When it comes to al fresco dining this summer, Blend Wine and Tapas is the place to be.
Located at 321 Nesconset Hwy., in Hauppauge, the restaurant is a sister business to Pace's Steakhouse, brought to the area by proprietors Jimmy Pace, Tommy Quinn and Chef Mike.
Every Thursday through Saturday, and some Sundays, this summer, live entertainment fills the outdoor patio.
"Tired of driving out east on a Friday night? You can have your own oasis here," Eric Ruthman, who is the marketing director of the restaurant, said.
This weekend, the Jeff Johansen Duo, Chilly Willie and Fred Simons will be performing.
Blend's location is also a bonus for outdoor dining.
"It's not near the water so it's pretty bug-free," Ruthman said.
The restaurant will be rolling out a new summer menu within the next few days, as well, with items including specialty lobster rolls and aged Italian meats and cheeses.
