KEY HIRE IS PART OF VANTIS LIFE GAME PLAN

WINDSOR, CT., Jan. 30, 2014 – Vantis Life Insurance Co. today announced that it has hired Michael Mullane as a wholesaler and to develop new business opportunities in Western New York, helping current and future bank partners protect more of their customers with life insurance.

Mullane was referred to the Windsor-based company by his former banking business associates.  In addition to his insurance and banking experience, for 18 years he was the press box play-by-play spotter for the Buffalo Bills radio broadcast team.

“When one of our bank partners sings the praises of a potential new employee, we pay attention,” said Craig Simms, Senior Vice President of Vantis Life.  “Michael comes to us highly recommended by management at one of our key bank partners.  He has three decades of life insurance experience that includes sales and sales management expertise in the bank channel.”

“In addition to his high level of communication and people skills, he will have the chance to use his considerable training skills.  He has already hit the ground running, building relationships with regional insurance coordinators throughout the Western New York footprint,” Simms added.

Before joining Vantis Life, Mullane was the Life Insurance Sales Manager for AAA Western and Central New York, where he trained and managed 21 agents in life insurance sales, and conducted Member Insurance Seminars.  

Prior to that, Mullane oversaw insurance sales for 23 branches of HSBC Bank as its Vice President/Insurance Sales Officer.

“I am excited to capitalize on the long held, close relationships I have forged within the banking and insurance communities,” Mullane said.  “I’m excited to carry the ball for the Vantis team in Western New York.”

Mullane holds a degree in Economics from Colgate University.  He lives in Lockport, NY, and has been active with several sports and civic organizations, including the Boy Scouts, Family and Children Services of Niagara, and the Lockport Rotary Club.
