A highlight of what's happening in and around Hauppauge this week.

 

As with everything else, our eyes can change over time. Dr. Richard Gotlib, Board Certified Ophthalmologist, will discuss how our eyes work, what changes we may experience as we age and treatment and prevention of eye problems. Registration is required. Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Commack branch of the Smithtown Library.

Board of Education Meeting

The Hauppauge Board of Education will be on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the James Baxter Board Room at Whiporwil School. Items on the agenda include student recognition awards. The entire agenda can be viewed here.

Have yourself a good laugh at the Wobbly Olive Wednesday evening at 8.

The is held every Wednesday at from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the main concession stand, located at field 1. The toll booths close at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, so parking is free.

The Smithtown Town Board will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the senior citizen center. A copy of the agenda can be found on the town's site after 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

The 2012 Knicks Basketball Camp will provide boys and girls ages 8-18 with a structured basketball learning experience that encourages team participation and personal development. All campers receive a Knicks uniform.
