5 Things to Do This Weekend

If you are looking for a reason to get out of the house this weekend, check out one of these five events happening in Hauppauge and nearby towns: 

Test your luck at the 's winter Blackjack Tournament on Saturday from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. There's no entry fee required. Register by visiting the library or visiting their website. 

Have a laugh at  on Main street in Smithtown Saturday at 9 p.m. and enjoy some of the best local comics around. Best of all, there's no cover charge. 

Sunday is Family Bowl Day at AMF Lanes in Smithtown. From noon to 7 p.m., families can enjoy 2 hours of bowling, shoe rentals and a meal for $20 per adult and $15 per child.

Can music be comical? Discover the answer to this question with musician and educator Bill Martin as he discusses how composers can infuse comedy into music in the presentation of "Humor in Music" at the Hauppauge Public Library on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register to make sure you don't miss out on this special presentation. 

If you didn't get your fill of the holiday spirit in December, head to Northport's , where they're showing a musical adaptation of the holiday classic through the weekend. Showtimes are 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
