#90 - Splash into Summer at Charles P. Toner Park

Children can find relief from the summer heat at the local water park and playground.

This Tuesday, the summer solstice marks the first official arrival of summer at exactly 1:16 p.m. Forecaster's predictions of high temperatures nearing 80 degrees with sunny skies are sign of the long, hot days ahead.

Let your children make a splash into summer with a fun-filled frolic at the Charles P. Toner Park on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset. This Town of Smithtown park has a water park and playground designed for children ages 5 to 12.

The water park and playground is built within a gated area adjacent to the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Library. Children can cool off underneath a series of sprinklers before running around on a full playground set that slides, swings, tunnels, seesaws and more.
