Dec.10: Sentencing in Lesser's Death, Basketball And Pajama Storytimes

Friday is a mix of eclectic events ranging from sports to criminal sentencing.

This Friday is a mix of eclectic events that range from early school dismissals to criminal sentencing, including high school varsity sports somewhere in between. They will pull emotions to the surface before the weekend comes, and offers a chance to relax.

1. The weekend will come early as it's the second for Hauppauge School District Elementary Schools. Students at will be released at 11 a.m., followed by and at 11:30 a.m. Be prepare for your children with a fun activity.

2.  Cheer on 's as they take on Central Islip in a non-league game at home, 5:45 p.m.

3. Children ages 5 and under can enjoy with their family from 7 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. at the . Stories will be told by Dara Linthwaite, your invited to wear your pajamas.

4.  The sentencing for driver Rodrigo Ramirez-Vega who pled guilty to killing Kenneth Lesser, husband of Hauppauge Board of Education Trustee Pat Lesser and wrestling fan, will be held in Riverhead. Patch will report on the outcome later this afternoon.
