Friendly's On Verge of Bankruptcy [POLL]

The HuffPost reports ice cream and casual eatery chain will file for Chapter 11 as early as next week.

Friendly's restaurants may be in jeopardy as the company will be filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as early as next week, according to The Huffington Post. 

Friendly Ice Cream employs 10,000 people and operates more than 500 restaurants across the country, including those at 220 Mount Pleasant Road in Smithtown on the corner of Route 347, 2145 Jericho Turnpike in Commack, 949 Country Road 58 in Riverhead, and in . Other locations include Selden and Ronkonkoma.

HuffPost reports the Friendly's are likely to stay open during the bankruptcy proceedings due to a $75 million financing deal with Wells Fargo bank.
