Hauppauge Grad Stars in Viral Harvard Baseball Video

Steve Dill was one of eight Harvard baseball players to "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen.

A Hauppauge High School graduate is becoming an overnight Internet sensation, thanks to to his lipsynching and fist-pumping in a viral YouTube. 

Steve Dill, a former Hauppauge baseball captain, is one of eight Harvard baseball players starring in the teams' "Harvard Baseball 2012 Call Me Maybe Cover." While the team has had shaky season, standing at  8-12 in their conference, according to Harvard Athletics, it hasn't prevented the players from having a bit of fun. 

Dill and his teammates created a 3-minute long cover of the pop hit "Call Me Maybe" by singer Carly Rae Jepsen. The video is features minute of funny, choreographed fist-pumping action while the team's traveling on the road.

The video has received more than 3 million hits as of 3 p.m. Friday, having been posted on May 6. 

Dill earned eight varsity letters in baseball, football and basketball during his years at , according to his player profile on Harvard Athletics. His multitude of honors includes Two-time All-Suffolk County League in baseball and being selected News12 Scholar Athlete as a senior. He is currently a sophomore at Harvard.
