Hauppauge Public Library Opens After Sandy

Library offers a space to local residents to gather, recharge electronics and and use the Internet.

 

Hauppauge Public Library has re-opened its doors following Hurricane Sandy to serve its residents and the general public's needs. 

The Hauppauge Public Library is open to the public Thursday after Hurricane Sandy. The library will be open its normal hours, from 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.

We will be open our normal hours today. Come in to charge your phone and get online.

A tweet sent out by Hauppauge Public Library says it now has electricity, outlets for charging electronics and Wifi. However, it's phone lines are still down, so don't try to call.  

The Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Special Library District remains closed as of Thursday.
