A large seven-bedroom house in Hauppauge has been recently been listed for sale with an asking prices of nearly $1.2 million. 

An upgraded contemporary home at 642 Wheeler Road in Hauppauge, built in 1988, is large and luxurious with a listed asking price of $1,180,000. Listing Agent Lisa Sherman of Realty Connect USA said the main house has six bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms and more than 6,000 square feet of living space. Key features of the home included a gourmet kitchen, two master bedrooms on the first floor of the home, a music parlor and in-ground swimming pool. 

Sherman said in addition to the main house, the 3.07-acre property has a detached guest cottage that has one bedroom, a full bathroom, kitchen and a garage. If a future property owner is interested, the real estate agent said the property can be subdivided. 

A quick glance at the property's tax records show that it is within the Hauppauge school district. The homeowners are expected to pay $17,136 in taxes for 2011.
