Island Harvest Issues Call for Donations

Food Bank with Hauppauge-based warehouse is looking for donations to help those struggling with Hurricane Sandy.

 

Island Harvest, a food bank with has issued a call for donations to help those struggling after Hurricane Sandy. 

Island Harvest is looking for basic supplies to help those affected by the storm. Some of the items they have requested include:

  • bottled water
  • vitamen water
  • healthy snack bars
  • peanut butter
  • crackers
  • pop-top food cans, such as tuna or chilli

Individuals willing to donate can drop off items to the Hauppauge warehouse, 40 Marcus Blvd, Hauppauge on weekdays before 3:30 p.m. 

Those who are willing to make a donation can also call Emergency Food Collections Center at 631-873-4775.
