June 24: It's the Last Day of School

Hauppauge students will celebrate the start of summer vacation.

Hauppauge students are finally able to celebrate the last day of classes. Thefinal exams have been taken, the textbooks are closed and prom is over. All that remains is for the seniors to take a hard-earned walk across the stage to accept their diplomas on Sunday.

Here are your top five:

1. It's the last day of classes for Hauppauge's elementary schools.  The buildings will hold an early dismissal starting with at 11 a.m., followed by and at 11:30 a.m. Make sure someone is there to meet your student.

2. Parents to sing songs and play with their one-year-old children at hosted by the Nesconset Branch of the Smithtown Library starting at 10 a.m. 

3. Prepare for battle, that is. The Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Library will hold an orientation session for interested teens in grades 6 to 9  from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration is required.
