This Tuesday, both the Hauppauge Board of Education and Islip Town Board Council will hold meetings.

This Tuesday, it's time to get down to business as the Hauppauge Public Schools Board of Education and Islip Town Council hold their bimonthly meetings.

1. The will hold its first meeting following the school elections at 8 p.m. in the board room of the former . A presentation on the 2008 Bond projects will be given.

2. The Town of Islip will host a Town Board meeting at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall on Main Street in Islip. The agenda includes a public hearing to change the Islip Town Code on parking personal trailers on local roads.

3. The will kick off a new at 7 p.m. The first book is "Flags of Our Fathers," which recounts the flag raising at Iwo Jima in 1945.
