Miller’s Ale House Lake Grove Opening Delayed

Restaurant pushes back opening from April into May due to inspections.

Miller’s Ale House will be pushing back the grand opening of its Lake Grove restaurant until May due to delays getting building approvals.

The popular bar and grill chain started constructing a new Lake Grove location on the former site of Houlihan’s, opposite the Smith Haven Mall, in November 2012.  It had tentatively announced its grand opening for late April, which has been delayed.

“We have has a few setbacks on some local approvals mainly related to the fire department. We are not delayed by several months. At this point, it looks like just a few weeks,” wrote J.R. Kyes, Miller’s director of real estate, in an email to Patch.

Kyes could not be immediately reached Friday afternoon for more information on the cause of the delays.

The restaurant's website confirms that Lake Grove would be Miller’s Ale House third location in New York, with restaurants open in Deer Park and Levitown.

The chain is also seeking Town of Smithtown’s approval to build a new restaurant at the site of the former Grill 454 in Commack, off the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Veterans Highway.

Miller’s Ale House currently has 57 locations across the United States with restaurants in nine states.
