Pace's Catering Prepares to Open

Popular Hauppauge steakhouse takes over former Cielo restaurant transforming it into a catering facility.

A popular Hauppauge steakhouse is preparing to expand despite the tough economic environment.

has taken over what was formerly its neighboring, and completely renovated the building to transform it into Pace's Catering. Cielo owner Mike Usholz has joined a partnership with the steakhouse owner James Pace and a third party in the new business venture.

The new catering hall will offer an extended menu for birthday parties, anniversaries, holiday office parties and more. The facility is ideally suited for gatherings of 70 to 80 people, according to Pace's Steakhouse staff member.

A member of Pace's ownership said the catering hall is already accepting reservations for the upcoming holiday season. The facility will be fully open for business within a few weeks.

Pace's Steakhouse currently has two locations in Hauppauge and Port Jefferson. The Hauppauge building would be its first catering facility.
