Scout Leader thanks local community for showing their support for Troop 343 at holiday fundraiser.

Hauppauge Boy Scout Troops held their annual wreath sale fundraiser on Dec. 3 in the Sears Hardware parking lot on Veterans Highway and Dec. 4 at St. Thomas More Parish.

Boy Scout Senior Patrol Leader Ralph Plotke said the annual fundraiser was a great success.

"The monies that were raised at this scout-coordinated holiday wreath sale will be used for upgrading and replacing the troop’s camping equipment and tents, as we continue with our year-round program of backpacking and scouting skills as well as helping to send the scouts to the week-long summer camp experiences," Plotke said in a statement.
