The Village of Islandia celebrates remembered those who have defended our nation with a wreath laying ceremony on Saturday.
Islandia Village residents and elected officials gathered at a small memorial on the corner of Johnson Avenue and Old Nichols Road Saturday morning for a time honored tradition.
As a small and intimate crowd gathered, there was a solemn air to remember those servicemen and women who gave their lives in defense of our country in honor of Memorial Day.
