Police on Tuesday identified Orlando Marquez, 38, of Brentwood as the man killed in a hit-and-run near the Brentwood/Hauppauge border on Monday.
Suffolk Police said Marquez was walking on Caleb's Path near the intersection of Bushwick Avenue when he was hit by a car around 8 p.m.. The driver never stopped.
A pedestrian discovered Marquez lying in the road and called 911, police said. He was later pronounced dead at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
