Question of the Day: Who Pays for What at Prom?

From tuxes and dresses to limos, attending this high school iconic dance can cost a pretty penny.

Hauppauge High School's senior prom is rapidly approaching on June 23. There are still the final touches from corsages to last-minute details of after prom plans to pay for. From the prom dress and tuxedos to limo, the prom can cost a pretty penny.

Traditionally, the boy will pay for both his prom ticket and his date's ticket, as well as her corsage. However, many women are becoming more independent today, working a part-time job and being forward enough to a date.

Our Question of the Day asks: Who should pay for what prom costs? Should parents kick in, and if so, how much?
