Blydenburgh Lake, also known as Stump's Pond, is the headwaters of the Nissequogue River and provides picturesque scenery for row boating and freshwater fishing.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Blydenburgh Park offers residents the opportunity to rent a row boat.

Grab your fishing gear and take to the water to try freshwater fishing for Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed sunfish, Brown Bullhead and Yellow Perch from sunrise to sunset. Check here to find out if there are any seasonal fishing regulations in place.

Blydenburgh Lake has the distinction of being the only lake on Long Island where you can go fishing for bass from March 16 to early June.

With the lake spanning over 100 acres, yet only reaching a depth of 8 feet, there are plenty of fish swimming nearby. Wading into the waters for fishing is permitted, if you want to stay close to land.
