Troop 111 Honors New Eagle Scout

Brendan Sweeney attains the rank of Eagle Scout in Nesconset troop.

A Nesconset Boy Scout attained the rank of Eagle Scout on June 8.

Nesconset Troop 111 recognized Brendan Sweeney as an Eagle Scout with a Court of Honor ceremony on June 8 at the Elks Lodge in Smithtown. This is the highest rank attainable under the Boy Scouts of America.

“I was extremely impressed with the thoughtfulness of Brendan’s Eagle Project,” said Legislator John Kennedy, R-Nesconset.

Sweeney created a waterfall and memorial garden to at the St. Catherine of Siena Nursing Home in Smithtown that honors the previous residents of the nursing home.

Sweeney will be graduating St. Anthony's High School in Huntington and will study pre-law at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
