Nearly one year after a life-or-death battle against MRSA, Hauppauge High School senior Nick Mauriello won a Suffolk championship title in the 132-pound weight class.

5 People Injured in Route 111 Accident

Westbound LIE Closed After Man Jumps
Suffolk County Sheriff's Department closed the westbound Long Island Expressway from Exit 55/Motor Parkway to before Exit 53/Wick's Road for several hours Friday afternoon after a man jumped from the Washington Avenue overpass.
