Pennsylvania Crash Takes Life of Hauppauge Couple

A couple from Hauppauge was killed in a car accident in Pennsylvania on Monday night, according to a report on Newsday.

Alexander Protosow, 89, and Louise Protosow, 83, were passengers in the backseat of a car that slid off an embankment  on Route 6 and crashed near the town of Shohola.

Islip Supervisor Tom Croci has appointed a new deputy supervisor after the Town Board voted to move forward with a proposal that would strip him of administrative powers.

More Red Light Cameras Possible in Smithtown's Future

Smithtown officials will approve the county's request to study high-traffic intersections in the Town of Smithtown to possibly install more red light cameras.
