Week In Review: Spotlight on Sewer Issues in Smithtown

As we forge into the week a head, here's a glimpse back at some of the top stories that ran on Hauppauge Patch from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4.

This Sunday, we're taking a look back at a few of the top news stories reported by Hauppauge Patch this week:


Smithtown town officials say its the area's lack of sewer that negatively impacts its ability grow, keep businsses and attract new stores. 


Suffolk County Legis. John Kennedy, R-Nesconset, and others will meet with the Long Island regional director of Empire State Development to find out why a request for funds for a Smithtown sewer system was turned down.

Many Hauppauge restaurants and bars are offerings specials on Super Bowl Sunday in hopes of drawing a crowd and increasing business during an otherwise busy month.
