Hauppauge Baseball Opening Day Parade

Bring your bat, glove and a lawn chair to the H. Lee Dennison Building at 9:30 a.m. on April 13 and get ready to cheer as the Hauppauge Little League as it kicks off its 2013 season with the return of its Opening Day Parade. Leading more than 450 players down the parade route will be Suffolk County Legislator John Kennedy (R-Nesconset, 12th District), New York State Assemblyman Mike Fitzpatrick (R,C,I-Smithtown), and Suffolk County Legislator Tom Cilmi (R-East Islip, 10th District). The Hauppauge Fire Department will also join the parade route.

Teen Night

Teens can enjoy a night of safe, supervised programming featuring activites such as karaoke, Wii bowling, board games, refreshments and more at the Joyce Fitzpatrick Center (50 Irish Ln, East Islip) on April 12, starting at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Islip Youth Bureau agency and South South Community Organization. Friends of the Arts Presents "Glee - A Special Children's Chorus"

Children will entertain you and your family with songs of spring April 13 at 2 p.m. The event takes place at the Hauppauge Public Library 601 Veteran’s Highway Hauppauge. Call 631-979-1600 or email haupfriend@gmail.com for further information.

Family Fun Day

STEP Preschool is sponsoring a Family Fun Day on April 14 from 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at 905 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown to help raise money for Juvenile Diabetes.  The day includes a karate showcase, gymnastics showcase, magic and comedy show.
