NAVIGATING THE WATERS OF INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION can be challenging. Spence-Chapin’s international adoption program is supported by more than 30 years of experience and long-established partnerships. This ensures that your international adoption experience with Spence-Chapin will proceed smoothly.

School-aged children (those who are 5 to 12 years old at time of placement) are the most overly represented population in orphanages worldwide. However, the fears, unknowns, and myths surrounding the adoption of children in this age range discourage many prospective parents from exploring this option.

Through our School-Aged Child Adoption Initiative, Spence-Chapin is committed to increasing the number of adoptions of school-aged children by recruiting a strong base of prospective families, offering lifetime support and resources to those families, and improving the overall image and practice of these adoptions.

Please join us for a discussion on who these children are, what their emotional and developmental needs are, and if you could be the right match for a child growing up without a family.
