Launch Inaugural St. Baldrick’s Event to Support Children with Cancer
Hauppauge High
School will hold its first-ever St. Baldrick’s event on Friday, March 14, 2014,
from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the 1st Floor “Quiet Cafeteria.” “Students
Nicholas Karavolias and Soobin Im are working together to spearhead this
inaugural event at Hauppauge High School,” stated Joy Ferrara, assistant
principal.
St. Baldrick’s is a not-for-profit organization
whose primary goal is to raise money for childhood cancer research. Students,
staff and community members can volunteer to shave their heads in recognition
of the struggle that children face when undergoing chemotherapy. Please refer
