Hauppauge Girl Scout SU26 Cadette Troop 2574 is giving away free trees to community members in an effort to restore trees that were lost in last year's storms. Hauppauge residents can stop by the Hauppauge Public Library on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pick up a tree to plant in their backyard, free of cost, to celebrate Arbor Day and replace those community trees lost to Hurricane Irene.
