September to Remember /Kisses for Kelly

Kelly Feeney is a 44 year old Commack resident who is married with 3 children under the age of 12 that attend Pines Elementary and Hauppauge Middle School. Kelly was diagnosed with Breast cancer in July of 2011. After further testing, within a month they discovered it had metastasized to her bone. As of right now, the doctors feel chemotherapy, radiation or double mastectomy is not an option with this kind of advanced breast cancer. She is in the beginning stages of the most aggressive clinical study. With prayer, hope and positive thinking, this clinical study will halt the continuous spread of this horrible disease and prolong Kelly’s life for many years. The Feeney family has mounting medical bills as well as day-to-day financial struggles related to taking time off to care for Kelly. This is a wonderful Commack family that is raising three kids in the community, Casey, Jillian and Aidan. We are trying to lighten the load on the Feeney’s by holding a fundraising event sponsored by HYO Woman’s Softball on
October 8, 2011 at Whitman Hollow Park (Apple Lane) in Commack from 9am to 7pm.
Most of us know that Commack, Smithtown and Hauppauge is a very special place to live, it seems that when families are most in need we see how truly incredible of a town we live in.
If you are able to contribute or donate an item to be raffled, please contact the organizer below and we will pick the item up at your location.
