Nesconset Pastor to Perform at Hofstra Benefit

Andrew Muller will perform at the Friends of Max Kolb Telethon on May 5.

Andrew Muller, a Nesconset pastor and Smithtown native will be a featured performer at an upcoming fundraiser dedicated to a Hofstra student who was killed in 2001.

Muller, a musician since the age of 11, will perform at the event, which began in 2002. His performance, along with the music of many other talented local bands will serve as a fundraiser for a film scholarship in memory of Max Kolb, a Hofstra University film student who tragically passed away in 2001.

The scholarship is awarded to deserving film students to offset the high costs of their senior film productions, which sometimes reach upwards of $5,000.

“I couldn’t be more excited to help out such a great cause. Just like music, film is an important part of our culture, and The Friends of Max Kolb Telethon enables students to follow their passion for this art form,” said Muller.

The Friends of Max Kolb Telethon will air on May 5th at 9:00pm. Fans of Andrew Muller will be able to stream this event online at htvilive.com.
